May 19th, 2020 by

Safety absolutely matters when it comes to transporting the ones you love. Our 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid was named an IIHS Top Safety Pick of 2020.

The 2020 Honda CR-V Combines Outstanding Efficiency and an Electrifying Drive With a Solid Safety Record

The 2020 CR-V Hybrid has earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) 2020 Top Safety Pick (TSP) rating. The CR-V Hybrid joins the rest of the CR-V lineup, the Accord, the Insight, and the Civic as Honda’s safest vehicle models.

Some of the features that earned us this distinction:

  • All CR-V models offer Honda Sensing for all models and trim levels.
  • State-of-the-art driver assistance technologies that include Collision Mitigation Braking System, Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Road Departure Mitigation with Lane Departure Warning, Lane Assist System, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
  • Honda’s proprietary Advanced Warning Capability Engineering body structure that is designed to protect occupants in a wide variety of frontal collisions.
  • Advanced supplemental restraint systems for all trim levels.

To earn the 2020 Top Safety Pick a vehicle must earn a “GOOD” crashworthiness rating on all test models, which includes the passenger-side small overlap test. A top-rated vehicle must also offer front crash prevention that earns an “ADVANCED” or “SUPERIOR” rating in both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian testing, as well as “GOOD” or “ACCEPTABLE” ratings for available headlights—TSP+ rated vehicles must achieve the same “GOOD” or “ACCEPTABLE” rating for their standard headlights.
